I wanted to give you a quick update on the forthcoming software which I’m developing for the Patreon community over here. These will all be available for free download for the All Access and VIP tiers in due course…
- PolyWave Surfer – the polywav metadata viewer, editor and audio watermarking tool will be with you in the next week or so. Mac OS and Windows.
- Head Transfer – I’m working on a new concept for a custom HRTF / SOFA creation tool. You’ll be able to scan your head, and import a digital model to generate your own HRTF for tools like Virtuoso and the Atmos renderer. Work in progress, but hopefully coming in the next few months if all goes to plan!
- PrePosition v3 – as I mentioned in the 2.3 release message, this is coming soon – final testing stages now.
- AkSys 2026 – This is a fun one. I’m trying to resurrect the old Akai management software for their premium samplers (S5000/S6000/Z4/Z8). These are available online for peanuts now, and I’m attempting to rebuild the control software, which was 32bit, and (until now – fingers crossed!) died with the 2000 era Mac & Windows XP.
I’m also working on some hardware – trying to get DeeJoy finished, and still looking for a fabrication partner – need to put some more thought into this, unless people have any suggestions?!?
AND I have a new Eurorack compatible box I’m building to put an old bit of loved hardware to new use – more on this coming soon…
